Have you considered becoming a Trustee or a school Governor?

An opportunity had arisen to join a fantastic Charity as a Board Trustee, – The Charity is a Youth Engagement Specialists Charity and are looking for professionals to join an exciting and growing board of Trustees to support, steer and advise a charitable organisation that is making waves in positively impacting the lives of young people. They are looking for individuals who are passionate about creating a future for all people to live equally and honestly, without inequality based on gender, ethnicity, poverty or background. A person who believes in the power of change and wants to work with a team who will implement that change in partnership with young people, so to break cycles of deprivation and reduce the number of lives lost to crime, drugs or lack of support. No previous experience is required and training can be provided. We hope to have a board of trustees united in passion but diverse in the backgrounds and skill sets.

Why volunteer to join a charity as a Trustee or become a school Governor ?

My personal experience of being both a trustee and school governor had been incredibly positive, I have been able to get a detailed understanding from the trustee roles I have taken up about the management of organisations in a range of sectors, I have also met some very talented fellow trustees who have given me different insights in my work as a Solicitor. By committing to supporting a local school or charity you will not only be giving something back you will be in the privileged position of making a real difference to organisations which gets huge benefits from lawyers who can advise charities and schools on such things as contracts, taxation or property.
