Criminal Law Committee responds to WM Police and Crime Commissioner’s call for evidence

Birmingham Law Society’s Criminal Law Committee has responded to the new West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner’s call for evidence.

The Committee’s response focusses on the allocation of appropriate resources to investigation and pre-charge engagement; diversion from prosecution; equality and diversity; better communication between stakeholders.

By raising concerns and offering practical solutions, the Committee hopes to put those issue on the agenda for the new Commissioner’s term of office.
