Participating solicitors volunteer to draw up basic wills for the month of November without charging their fee. The prospective will maker phones the solicitor to make an appointment and will be asked to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid instead of paying the usual fee. In 2014 the suggested donation was £95 for a single basic will and £150 for a pair of mirror wills. Service available: Working days throughout November (dependent on individual solicitor’s hours available). The money raised is shared by the nine participating charities: ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland), Trocaire (NI). Every adult can make a will with Will Aid. You don’t need to be over 55 years old.
