Dee Kundi is a commercial litigator and debt recovery specialist based in Birmingham with extensive experience providing commercial litigation, debt collection and recovery services with arrears management to a broad client base.

Dee is committed to working with clients in many sectors including, but not limited to, Financial Services, Education, Healthcare, Local and Central Government, Professional Services, Telecommunications, Energy and Utilities, Commercial Businesses and SMEs.

Dee also has banking litigation experience which includes advising banks, building societies and financial institutions on all contentious issues arising from their lender service. These include professional negligence disputes, breach of mandate claims, fraud, personal guarantee disputes, restrictive covenant and consumer credit issues.

Established within the Legal 500 as one of the market leaders in litigation and debt recovery, she is recognised both as a strong deliverer and a key innovator in the field. This is because she has gained a reputation for providing clear, effective debt recovery solutions alongside legal advice. Dee is justifiably proud of her ability to provide a high level of service, whilst, simultaneously remaining focused on the one key area to clients, namely the recovery of cash.

Dee is the Chairwoman of the Birmingham Law Society as well as a council member, a director and a member of the dispute resolution committee.

Dee was appointed to the Executive Board of ABCC and was elected as Vice President in May 2014. The ABCC is part of the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Group and specialises in supporting the needs of local businesses across the city.

Dee is a non-exec director for TAG Network Midlands (Trainees, Apprentices and Graduates Network) coaching and mentoring law students. She sits on the Capital Development Committee for the Town Hall and Symphony Hall and also sits on the Aston University Law School Advisory Board.

Dee is a multi-award-winning lawyer, winning over 25 awards and accolades in the past 6 years including; Best in Legal Services Award; Best in Debt Recovery Services; The Rising Star Award; Most Influential Woman in Debt Recovery; Most Outstanding Business Woman of the Year; Professional of the Year.

Best part of being on the BLS Board

Dee has been working with BLS since 2015 and has grown organically from a council member, to board member to now the Chair. Dee has really enjoyed her tenure with BLS helping make changes, decisions and guiding BLS into a new direction making the society relevant to its members.

Dee is very fortunate to be working with excellent directors and superb office to make these changes happen and is looking forward to the next number of years.
