University of Law Legal Mentoring Scheme

The ULaw mentoring scheme is an essential opportunity for University of Law students – many of whom lack contacts within the professions – to gain insight into the legal world. The scheme not only benefits students but gives those who volunteer a real opportunity to help the next generation of lawyers succeed in their aspirations.

Volunteers from all parts of the legal community – whether in-house, private practice or chambers, and your organisation does not need to be recruiting to take part. The only requirement is that mentors be qualified lawyers, completing a training contract or currently undertaking pupillage.

Mentors and mentees will need to make contact for a minimum of four times within the scheme which runs from Dec 2022  – May 2023.

If you would like to mentor a Birmingham student please visit the university’s mentoring portal here and complete their short registration form.
