Kang & Co Partners With Local Charity For A Year Of Giving

Each year Motoring & Criminal defence law firm Kang & Co Solicitors supports a local charity throughout the year and 2022 has been no different. This year the law firm has been partnered with the wonderful people at the Birmingham Mind mental health charity.

The charity is the largest mental health charity in the West Midlands region, supporting people suffering or affected by mental health related issues. Birmingham Mind has provided continuous mental health support for 60 years now, and to mark the occasion Kang & Co Solicitors staff took part in their 60 Miles in 60 Days challenge to raise funds for the charity.

Kang & Co director Manjinder Kang said; “I think more so than ever in recent memory, it is hugely important to show support for mental health charities. The last few years have taken a huge hit on the mental health of many in our nation and many are going unsupported. With this in mind we felt that this year it would be important to raise further awareness & backing towards Mental Health support. It has been an honour partnering up with the brilliant people at Birmingham Mind mental health charity during their 60th anniversary and we are pleased that we have been able to raise funds for them.”

Kang & Co Solicitors passionately believe in Corporate Social Responsibility, helping local communities the best way we can. Over the last few years, Kang & Co Solicitors have been committed to supporting a different charity each year. In recent years we have supported Birmingham Dog’s Home, Acorns Children’s Hospice and World Against Single Use Plastic, Sense and have raised thousands of pounds for the causes in the process.

The team at Kang & Co Solicitors set a target of £2,000 to raise for Birmingham Mind during the 60 Miles in 60 Days challenge. The distance was successfully completed during the summer by all the staff and the fundraising target of £2,000 was hit.

If you are suffering from mental health issues Birmingham Mind are a superb resource and support. They work in active partnership with a range of local organisations to deliver services and challenge the stigma that surrounds mental distress. The charity offer a range of services which help support people in various ways such as Supported Housing, Residential Care, Carers Wellbeing Service and our Mental Health Helpline.
