Steven was hugely honoured to achieve the Lifetime achievement award, earlier this year. From the citation, it was not because of his length of service to the Birmingham Law Society, but for his achievements as a solicitor particularly looking after the vulnerable and less fortunate in society.

Steven Has been a supporter of the Birmingham Law Society since he qualified as a solicitor, 40 yeas ago. He has been a member of its Council, in various roles, for 31 years. Steven describes his engagement with the Birmingham Law Society as, ‘tremendously beneficial’, to his professional life: ‘For most of my working life I have had the great privilege of serving on the Birmingham Law Society Council and on several of its committees. This has given me a constant ringside seat at the coalface of developments in the law, not just in the areas I have specialised in, but in others too. Parallel to that, my membership has also given me close contact to leading lawyers in their respective fields. I have enjoyed this engagement and it has benefited my clients, my firm and myself. This continues, even though some now consider me a leader and I can give others the benefit of my experiences’.
