This webinar will explore how law firms can upskill experienced paralegals and aspiring legal professionals into Chartered Legal Executives with full practice rights in a chosen area of law.

This session will provide a clear overview of the government funded Chartered Legal Executive Apprenticeship explaining how this route can help firms retain and develop legal talent, build capability in key practice areas and provide a funded pathway for paralegals who are ready to progress into advanced legal roles.

We will also discuss Datalaw’s upcoming specialised levy cohorts, which close on 15th July. With levy-paying employer contributions due to rise from 5% to 25%, this is an important opportunity for firms to make the most of their existing levy funding before their levy pot covers less of the overall apprenticeship cost.

What we’ll cover:

  • How paralegals can progress into Chartered Legal Executive roles

  • How the apprenticeship supports qualification with full practice rights

  • The specialist areas of law available through the route

  • How firms can use the apprenticeship to retain, develop and upskill legal talent

  • How levy-paying firms can maximise funding before the contribution increase

  • Key cohort dates, eligibility and next steps before the 15th July deadline

This webinar is ideal for law firms, HR teams, training managers, practice managers and paralegals looking for a practical, funded route to legal qualification and specialist practice rights.
