2026 Legal Awards



Date: Thursday 12th February

Time: 6.45pm drinks reception – 1am carriages

Venue: ICC (Hall 4), Broad Street, Birmingham, B1 2EA

Price: £120 +VAT for member ticket | £150 +VAT for non-member ticket | £1,200 +VAT for a member table of 10 | £1,500 +VAT for a non-member table of 10

Dress Code: Black tie or national dress

You are invited to join Birmingham Law Society for it's 24th annual awards. The awards will shine the spotlight on member firms, teams and individuals who have excelled over the past 12 months. The drinks reception will start at 6.45pm before being seated to hear from incoming President Matt O'Brien who will be handing out the Lifetime Achievement Award, followed by a four course meal. We will be crowning the winner's of the awards at the end of the evening. There are 14 award categories up for grabs on the night:


  • Outstanding Student Contribution of the Year 2026

  • Apprentice of the Year 2026

  • Trainee Solicitor of the Year 2026

  • Paralegal of the Year 2026

  • Legal PA of the Year 2026

  • Solicitor of the Year 2026

  • Junior Barrister of the Year 2026

  • Barrister of the Year 2026 (over 10 years’ call)

  • Partner of the Year 2026

  • In-House Lawyer of the Year 2026

  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award 2026

  • Pro Bono Award 2026

  • Law Firm of the Year 2026 (1-49 Employees)

  • Law Firm of the Year 2026 (50+ Employees)


Nominations are now open! For 2026, you need to be a member to apply for the awards - criteria can be found here.

Nominate here - deadline for nominations is 6th October 2025! Following the closing date, nominees will be contacted with the application form which will need to be completed by 10th November 2025.

All winner's will be invited to a dinner at Fazenda in April.

We will be raising money in a variety of ways on the evening with funds going to our incoming President's chosen charitiy, Birmingham Mind.
