The BLS Property & Development Committee are pleased to confirm their next event targeted at all property lawyers. The sessions will be educational, offering you the opportunity to engage with other property professionals and include the following speakers:

Mark Evans, Vice President, The Law Society of England and Wales 

The Law Society Vice-President, will provide updates and facilitate discussion on The Law Society's work and key property sector topics including climate change, new TA6 form, conveyancing protocol consultation, building safety act and current Government legislative developments.

Sarah Dwight, Owner, Sarah Dwight Solicitor

Sarah Dwight is a Sole Practitioner based in Birmingham, specialising in residential conveyancing. She sits on the Law Society Conveyancing and Land Law Committee and is the lead for the Residential Property Working Sub group, which is actively involved in the work on the TA6 form and the consultation on the Protocol.

Neil Wood, Director, Move Reports

Introducing Move Reports, how we help law firms stand out to both existing and new introducers, including estate agents and, importantly, developers working on new build plot sales. In addition, I’ll explore how climate change is beginning to impact property transactions, what the emerging climate-related search results mean for conveyancers in terms of duty and due diligence, and the practical steps both professionals and homeowners can take to better understand and respond to these risks.
