Join us for the next meeting of the Birmingham Law Society COLP/COFA Forum for a “Preventative Duties Discussion” to include:
- New Equality Act duty to prevent sexual misconduct & how this aligns with SRA duties & internal investigations
- New duty to prevent fraud offence – Economic Crime & Transparency Act
- Other duties to prevent offences such as tax evasion and bribery
- Practical tips & guidance
Chaired by Jayne Willetts, Solicitor Advocate and Chair of the BLS Professional Regulation Committee and to be joined by Rebecca Atkinson, formerly General Counsel and COLP at Howard Kennedy LLP, now with her own specialist risk and compliance firm McArthur Atkinson.
The sessions will be run under Chatham House rules so questions and frank discussion are encouraged.
