Irwin Mitchell And Family Fund Help Families By Hosting Latest Virtual Even

National Charity And Law Firm Joined Forces On Webinar

A team of expert lawyers joined forces with a national charity this week to help children, young people and families access specialist legal support.

Family Fund, which provides grants for families on low incomes raising disabled or seriously ill children, hosted a webinar on Thursday.  It included workshops from law firm Irwin Mitchell on EHCPs, benefits and financial support, tips for families with debt issues, information on Lasting Powers of Attorney and the claims process for those injured by a third party.

More than 370 people registered for the webinar, with 115 people attending the live 90-minute virtual event.

Alan Ball, specialist serious injury lawyer at Irwin Mitchell, who hosted the event, said: “We were delighted to help Family Fund this week with offering advice to those in need of support.

“The charity does vital work around the country, providing grants for essential items and helping families improve their quality of life while easing the daily pressures they face when looking after disabled or seriously ill children.  Last year alone, it provided grants and services worth over £32million across the UK.

“It was a pleasure to be involved with the webinar and we look forward to working with Family Fund again in the future.”
