The members of the Birmingham Law Society Consultation Committee have decided upon a new name for the Committee. It will be renamed as the Birmingham Law Society Professional Regulation Committee. The Chair of the Committee Jayne Willetts said: “The change is to better reflect the work undertaken by the specialist professional regulation members of the Committee in responding to consultations from the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Legal Ombudsman, the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and the Legal Services Board – which is not obvious from the Committee’s current name.”
