Birmingham Law Society (BLS) has announced a new preferred supplier partnership with two of the city’s top legal recruitment firms.
The organisation has struck a 12-month deal with Badenoch & Clark and Bell Cornwall, which will provide the Society’s 4000 members with help and advice on sourcing qualified and support staff, such as paralegals and legal assistants.
Both agencies will also offer assistance with CV writing and interviewing techniques, as well as providing seminars on career progression and development.
The agencies were shortlisted following a nine-month long selection process, headed by BLS chairman Chris Owen.
Mr Owen said: “The Society previously had its own recruitment arm and it is an area that our members have always found beneficial. All of our members, whether they are individuals or corporate firms, will have access to both recruiters’ services with BLS acting effectively as a broker between the two.
“Both firms were chosen for their outstanding client care and the added benefits they have shown for members of BLS making this partnership a natural fit for the Society.
“Following its success, we are hoping to roll this out into others areas such as preferred suppliers of stationery, car purchase, health and financial products. Our sole aim is to give added benefits to our members.”
Ryan Nicholls, senior consultant at Badenoch & Clark, said: “We are pleased to be partnering with BLS. Our organisations are aligned in a shared culture of continuous learning, challenging thought leadership and attaining individual best and we look forward to providing members with access to some of the top talent in the industry.”
Charlotte Bell, director at Bell Cornwall, said: “We are delighted to have been selected by BLS as its recommended office support agency for members and are looking forward to being an integral part of ensuring that the legal market within the Midlands continues to thrive by sourcing great candidates who can deliver results.”
Badenoch & Clark and Bell Cornwall will also sponsor BLS events throughout the year, including the Society’s upcoming networking event at Maple House (etc.venues) on 6 June 2013.
