Help Shape the Future of the Legal Profession

Could you be part of Birmingham Law Society’s Council?

At our AGM on 24 September 2026, we will be welcoming new members to our Council and we’d love to hear from you.

As a Council member, you’ll help shape the future of the largest regional Law Society in England and Wales, represent the interests of the legal profession across the West Midlands, and play an active role in delivering events, initiatives and opportunities for our members.

We’re looking for people with fresh ideas, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for the profession. While experience in any of the following areas would be particularly valuable, it is by no means essential:

  • Events and Marketing
  • External Affairs
  • Strategic Planning

Above all, we’re looking for people who are committed to making a difference and willing to dedicate some of their time to helping Birmingham Law Society thrive.

Whether you’re an established leader or taking your first step into a governance role, serving on Council is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your network, develop your leadership skills and make a lasting impact on the legal community.

Interested? We’d love to hear from you.

To find out more, contact Guy Barnett at office@birminghamlawsociety.co.uk or send a text to 07889 596931.

Expressions of interest close on 21 August 2026.

Help us build a Council that reflects the diversity, talent and ambition of our legal community. Your voice, experience and perspective can help shape the future of Birmingham Law Society.
