The Birmingham Law Society's LGBTQ+ Sub-Committee invite you to join us for a panel event to celebrate Transgender Awareness Week 2024.
The panel discussion will be hosted by our co-chairs, Shereen Johal and Marc Forrest-Thomas, where the panellists will share their personal journeys, challenges and triumphs, and address the issues faced by the community. This event is a celebration of strength, courage, and the beauty of living authentically. The panel will include:
- Jamie Adams, Clerk, Halcyon Chambers
- Robin Moira White, Employment Law Barrister, Old Square Chambers
- Steph Keeble, Director, Birmingham LGBT
- Claire Byatt, Senior Technical Service Representative and Proud Baggies Member
In addition, we will be joined by Birmingham LGBT where we will be asking for donations to support their amazing work in the trans community, particularly in relation to their Trans and non-binary youth group, ‘Emerge’.
There will be an opportunity for networking afterwards along with refreshments.
When booking, please use the additional information field to add your pronouns as we will be including these on name badges for the event.
