Next in the series of SQE roundtables hosted by The College of Legal Practice, is a focus on Qualifying Work Experience (QWE), including graduate apprenticeships. A recent SRA survey found that many firms are unclear on what QWE is and their roles in confirming and overseeing QWE. The survey also highlighted that different firms are taking different approaches to QWE alongside the SQE exams.
In this roundtable, Dr Giles Proctor and Peter Liver from The College of Legal Practice will talk through QWE, your responsibilities as an employer, and how firms are supporting their trainees to develop their legal skills whilst studying and working. They will also share examples of innovation within trainee programmes that harness the flexibility of QWE and SQE exam timings. The discussion will include the opportunities offered to firms through the new graduate solicitor apprenticeship pathways that include two years QWE.
Lunch and refreshments provided.
