Birmingham Law Society is delighted to be recruiting for the new post of Head of Membership Engagement to join the team at an exciting time for the Society.
This is a new post and a key component of a committed professional team that works closely with our members who play a significant role in the legal community in Birmingham and the West Midlands. We are the largest regional law society outside of London and are proud of our heritage. We have an exciting strategy that seeks to grow and develop our organisation for the benefit of our members.
This is the perfect opportunity for a membership professional to further develop our engagement with members and stakeholders, co-ordinate sponsorship opportunities and enhance and diversity our income streams for the benefit of the Society.
The role will report directly to the CEO but will have the opportunity to engage with senior members from the Society and to be able to develop new partnerships and relationships. They will lead on the findings from the recent membership survey and will play a key role in the flagship Legal Awards that takes place annually and celebrates excellent practice from the legal community in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
We are looking for a strategic leader with experience in membership engagement and income generation. A background in diversifying income and securing sponsorship is essential as is the ability to work as part of a small team and to be able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.

The Society is seeking an innovative and strategic leader with proven experience in a senior membership engagement role, ideally within a professional membership organisation. While a legal background is not essential, understanding the legal sector would be beneficial. Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, as well as a background in financial management and sponsorship, will be essential.
